    For your specific location I would advise against laying the salt, your far enough east it should warm above freezing tonight into tomorrow that the ice should melt/be washed off. The only reason to lay it down now is if there was a pressing need to access the units the afternoon and evening. If the locations was more to the north or west it'd be a harder call
