I would think that if anyone here said Calipari, then Cyclone fans would have taken hypocracy to a new level. I am only basing this on what has been said after W. Morgan was fired and how people said they would rather lose with discipline and integrity, than win ugly(Rucker park style) or cheating(whatever scheduling scandal WM was supposed to be tied with).

People say that sort of thing but really they/we just want to win, that's the bottom line.

Re: bobby knight
I have a lot more respect for Wayne Morgan as a person than either Calipari or Knight (however I have talked to Morgan and not the other two). I agree with Knight that Calipari has shown he will bend or break the rules to have success, but Knight has acted like a spoiled brat too many times, and is somewhat of a phony with his tough guy, never quit talk that hasn't been backed up by his actions.

Re: bobby knight
the reason I would not want a guy like calipari is because of what that type of guy leaves a program looking like after he's gone (Umass, Memphis). He's moved on to greener pastures while the name of those programs has been dragged through the mud. Iowa had a guy like that and look how their program is doing. I don't know that I can justify a few good years if I'll have to watch as my alma mater is at the *** end of a recruiting scandal. Strong national powers can recover from something like that rather quickly, a program like ISU would feel the ramifications for years.

I would hire Calapari over Knight anyday of the week. There's a big difference between working for a Knight and playing for one.
The purpose of a job is to get the money to buy the things in life that you want. You are compensated for your ability. Playing for someone like that is no different than taking that hard*** professor who's a pain, but a good teacher.
It all depends on whether you're there to learn or to make money.
For a coach, there's no way I'd EVER hire a Calipari. Once you lose your integrity, what do you have left?

Bobby Knight is such an Enigma.
You see all the bad things and yet you hear some incredibly kind stories about the man.
The man will be on the Mount Rushmore of College Basketball coaches. He'll be talked about long after we're all gone.
