My son deer hunts in southern Iowa. He's convinced he saw one while in his tree stand a couple of years ago. I've seen bobcats no cougars.

From just east of the Quad Cities. It's no wonder the pony got attacked...its name is Butterscotch. Animal owners fear cougar responsible for recent attacks - WQAD -

Several years ago my neighbor had his horses and dogs attacked by a mountain lion, cost him a lot in vet fees.
