CIML schools reschedule games because of Orange Bowl

Good god. Five CIML schools - Dowling, Roosevelt, SE Polk, Marshalltown and Fort Dodge - changed their regular Tues. night games to tonight so their scorer's table and concessions workers could watch their Hawks in the Orange Bowl.
Me thinks it's really about attendance concerns...

Hmm, seems a little over the top. I'd completely understand this if Iowa was playing for a national title but that's not the case.

The school district where I work did the same....buuuuut, it is James Vandenburg's school high school, so I guess that's an okay reason.

A few schools here in the QCA are doing the same thing. One AD was against the idea, but unfortunately succumb to the peer pressure.

It's misplaced priorities to me. I wonder how many of the high school players involved ranked watching the Orange Bowl ahead of playing their regularly scheduled Tues. game?

A vast majority of the state prefers black and gold to cardinal and gold, so this should surprise no one.
