Computer question
I had to reinstall Vista onto my computer as well as my wireless router. Here is my issue. Part of the set-up process is to hardwire connect the computer to the wireless router. The issue is that the wireless router shows that there is no connection, but when I hardwire my PS3 to the wireless router, it shows(light on wireless router) that it is connected.
My question is, is there a way to turn off/on the internet port on my laptop? I've turned off the WiFi in hopes that would work to no avail.

Re: Computer question
Check if the NIC drivers are installed and vista shows it is working.

Re: Computer question
It sounds like you're wanting to make sure that the ethernet port on your laptop is on? You plug it in to your router but doesn't appear to make a connection? Typically the physical port is always on. Check the device manager to see if it is working correctly.

Re: Computer question
type devmgmt.msc in the search on the start menu
NIC will be listed under network adapters
