Re: Simpson's 450th Episode
Best show ever i have watched ever since the first season makes me laugh everytime I see it. No matter what haters say its fresh and well worth the 30 minutes everyday and sunday.
I enjoy the hullabalooza episode with homer the cannonball guy.

Re: Simpson's 450th Episode
I was the same age as Bart when the show first started, and as strange as it seems to say this about a tv show, it has been a big part of my life. I have seen every episode, and even though the past few years have been nowhere near as good as the classic years, the day I quit watching will be the day they stop making them.
Favorite episode is a really tough question, but I'll have to go with the Halloween episode where Homer makes the time-traveling toaster (Time and Punishment). If Halloween episodes don't count, I'll go with the one where Homer stops going to church (Homer the Heretic).
Oh, and 'never watched an episode' is nothing to be proud of.

Re: Simpson's 450th Episode
Cape Feare is my favorite episode, and has Sideshow Bob at his best. I disagree with the previous poster saying the show is still fresh though. It's been fairly terrible for at least the last 8 years. The show is a shadow of it's former self. Instead of being clever and witty it's just pop culture references and crappy guest stars.

Because the show should've gone out on top, it's like watching Michael Jordan with the Wizards or Joe Namath playing for the rams. It used to be the best written, most consistently funny show on television. Now it's just the longest running, and after these last 10 years diluting the overall show I wouldn't even consider it the best Matt Groening cartoon, let alone the best cartoon ever.

Re: Simpson's 450th Episode
There are too many great episodes to pick one. Softball, Monorail, Sadgasm, Astronaut... I could go on forever.
The Simpsons have taught me at least 50% of what I know about the world. I grew up on that show and it will be a sad day indeed when it finally calls it quits.

Bart was writing on the chalkboard tonight:
"The world may end in 2012, but this show won't"

If you have a Tivo, watch the intro frame by frame sometime. There are many humorous images not visible to the naked eye.

Also, some great episodes are
Lemon of Troy - "Hurry boy! They've got a taste for meat, now!"
E-I-E-I-(Annoyed Grunt) "Didn't Grasshopperus kill Chad Everett? Only because he tried to reason with him."
Homie the Clown - "We need more ammo. Let's go to Big Five!"
That is a great episode. Personally I love some of the more recent religious ones such as the one that parodies the Scopes Monkey Trial, "Left Below", and the one where Homer and Bart become Roman Catholic.

Re: Simpson's 450th Episode
One of my favorites is where Homer and Marge go to marriage counseling after Homer gets wasted at a dinner party. Another of my favorites is an obscure exchange in an episode I don't even remember, though it seems like it was one of the Treehouse of Horror episodes. Carl: "I heard we're goin' to Ape Island"
Lenny: "Yeah, to capture a giant ape. I wish we were going to Candy Apple Island" Charlie: "Candy Apple Island? Whatta they got there? Carl: "Apes. But they're not so big"

But they're not so big" Treehouse of horror episodes are just full of good stuff. I'm a fan of the Ghost Dad vignette where Homer dies (twice) from eating broccoli.
