Smartypig.com
I saw a segment this evening on WHO channel 13 regarding smartypig.com
I looked up the site and it seems pretty good after my cursory glance. I was wondering if anyone on this site has used or is currently using smartypig.com.
What are your thoughts on this site? Anything outstanding or anything not so good with this?
Sounds like you can set up a goal for an item and make deposits (and earn interest) until you reach your goal for that item. You can go 'social' and others can make deposits to your account to help you reach that goal. I guess I am aiming high to start but I would have a goal amount of $75K so I could make a downpayment on a duplex for a rental and have enough cash for repairs, upgrades, etc...

Re: Smartypig.com
Wow.....if others can make "donations" to my account, I might just have to start one up! -

Anyone have any feedback regarding smartypig.com?

Re: Smartypig.com
I've used it for about a year or so, it works pretty well. I don't use any of the social aspect of it but it's nice to have a savings account with a decent interest rate. When I signed up it was somewhere around 3.75% but now it's down to around 2%. All in all, I love it.

Yep, it's awesome. They also have relationships with retailers like Overstock.com. So, for example if you set up a "goal" of saving for a new TV, a company like Overstock will offer you incentive to buy the TV from them and give your a $200 coupon, etc.
