My sister in law works for a printing company and was making decent money for not having a degree. The boss calls her in about a month ago and basically says you still have job, but we're cutting your salary $20,000. Needless to say she's looking for another job.
Has this happened to anybody else? I heard the story and was really surprised. I'm not sure if it's a company wide thing or just her, but wow...
Will they pay for her to take some classes at night or anything?
What did she do?
That is pretty s*****. She should be lucky though that she still has a job.

Did she ask her boss how much of a pay cut he/she was taking?
She must've been making REALLY good money for graphic design/sales if she can take a pay cut like that and still be making over minimum wage.
The USDA dropped my salary last week when they came out with a crop report with made up numbers in it. :wink:
Yeah that's what's she's doing. A little bit of pay is better than no pay and she knows that. Maybe it will give her some incentive to get a degree, but she's got a young family and not sure if she has the patience. No guarantees that will help in the end anyway...Quote:
