STATEMENT REGARDING PAUL SHIRLEY | ESPN MediaZone

Nice.
Maybe Paul will think a little more before publishing next time around...
That stinks, but I don't blame him.
WOW... really? It was pretty on par for his usual rants.... He'll be alright.
Not in America!
He wanted the attention, he got it.
Wow, I bet he wishes he didn't write that article now...
Kudos to Paul. He stuck it to the man and he did it justifiably. I don't agree with everything he said, but he made some good points. Probably wasn't the greatest decision career wise, but he's certainly not the only person that feels this way.
he always has the NBA to fall back on.
While I disagreed with what he stated in his blog, I can't help thinking isn't free speech is what America is all about?
Shirley could have came up with a better way of making his point, such as, "Okay, what's going to happen when the help ends in Haiti? Haiti's problems are a lot bigger than the earthquake that leveled it."
There's a thread in the cave so I won't get into it too much, but he definitely made some interesting points with his column, but it lacked anything resembling tact. Not surprising that ESPN wouldn't want him back though.
Whatever happened to freedom of speech?
