Re: Underrated Songs
So many possibilities. A couple from each decade...
"Moonlight Mile" - Stones
"Everybody's Got Something to Hide Except For Me and My Monkey" - Beatles
Just about anything by the Velvet Underground ("All Tomorrow's Parties", "What Goes On", "Pale Blue Eyes", "Rock and Roll", etc.)
"Marquee Moon" - Television
"Astral Weeks" - Van Morrison
"Begin the Begin" - REM
"Don't Want to Know if You Are Lonely" - Husker Du
"Gold Soundz" - Pavement
"**** And Run" - Liz Phair
"Lost Cause" - Beck
"Tell Me in the Morning" - Cold War Kids (my cell phone ring tone)
The OP had "Sometimes" by James, which is a favorite of my mine. "Mojo Pin" by Jeff Buckley is a good one, also.

"Next Year" Foo Fighters
"February Stars" Foo Fighters I love the country-rock Stones. Exile (especially the first 9 or ten songs + "Shine a Light") rules! I downloaded Five Guys Walk Into a Bar (Faces box-set) a while back. Very underrated band. Cool list.

Dancefloors - My Morning Jacket Wow, "The Background" and "Motorcycle Drive-By" are sweet! "God of Wine" and "I Want You" are among my favorites from that album, too. A lot of people dismiss Third Eye Blind as top-40 alternative crap, but I love their first two albums (especially their debut). The first half of MMJ It Still Moves is amazing. Some old school Modest Mouse (I really like "Polar Opposites"). Nice list!

Re: Underrated Songs
Falling Down by Muse (thanks, OP) is an amazing song that is totally forgotten about. The last time through the chorus-ish part when he puts the gravel in the melody...omg
And is there a bad Nick Drake tune? (Again thanks, OP)
My own list:
Lady Stardust by David Bowie
John the Baptist by Blood, Sweat, and Tears
Tug of War by Paul McCartney (actually, basically this whole album except Ebony and Ivory)
Shrinking Universe by Muse (It's a b-side, and better than some of their singles)

Re: Underrated Songs
A couple that are going around and around in my head for a long time:
Machinehead "Halo"
(HED)p.e. "Hear and Now"
Machine Head "Halo" - a bit of language maybe nsfw
[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G-SohL691kc"]YouTube- Machine Head - Halo @ Sonisphere Knebworth Pro Shot[/ame]
(hed)p.e. "Hear and Now" - also a bit of language may make it nsfw
[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JatvIj52L3E"]YouTube- Hed PE Here and Now[/ame]
if the bit of language in the videos is a problem, mod can delete or ask me to delete - no worries. Just wana share some good tunes!

The only "well known" songs on the album are Happy and Tumbling Dice, and most people have never heard anything else from it. "Let it Loose" is one of may all time favorite Stones songs.
Five Guys...sets the standard for all other box sets. (personal note....buy it...music this good deserves to be paid for....if you want to download music...download the crap you wouldn't pay for in the first place ).... The Faces may be the most underrated group of all time (thats a whole other thread)....check out Bad 'n' Ruin, You're My Girl, I Can Feel the Fire, (I Know) I'm Losing You....

Re: Underrated Songs
Does anyone know if it is possible to transfer songs from one iTunes to another computer's iTunes?

There are a couple of different ways to accomplish this - my preferred method is just to browse to the iTunes directory (where the files are stored) and import, but Apple just introduced "Home Sharing" a few months ago: Apple - iTunes - What's new - Explore the new iTunes.
It's an option inside of your iTunes.
