Spring Break

It's getting to be about that time of year again and I was wondering what people are doing for Spring Break. Personally, I'm going to spend the week in Florida and get away from Iowa winters. What is everyone else doing for that wonderful week in March?

I never really did much for spring break when I was in college, because I was usually too poor by then. The one year in college I went someplace on spring break was to Colorado to hit up the slopes. That was paid for by donating plasma.
I usually took my big vacation during Winter Break, when I had more money.

I'll be with the rowing team in Arkansas for a week of spring practice. As much fun as going somewhere really warm might be, I would much rather go and get better for the spring regattas. We haven't been able to get out on the water since early November, and using the machines at Lied gets old after about the first 5 minutes.

I have never been outside of Iowa for spring break in my entire life. In fact, the last four years, I've spent most or all of break sitting in Friley Hall. I've never been able to find anyone who wants to go somewhere else, much less somewhere warm. I'm doing my best to push to friends into coming with me to South Padre or Mexico, but who knows if they'll come through or not. I'm so sick of being in Iowa over break.

I'm in the same boat with the FE. They do it every year just to screw the seniors over...maybe it's their way of keeping the riot chances smaller...

I'll be in Kentucky on a service trip for the 4th consecutive year. If you are an undergrad who wants a different experience I'd highly recommend trying one out. It can really open your eyes.

Most likely this. Although I'm considering a road trip to New Orleans the 2nd weekend for a concert. We'll see what happens. I don't have the money for a big trip, but maybe I can figure something out.
