Survivor
I'm super pumped about the Heroes vs. Villians season coming up!!! Glad to see some of my favs coming back....and not so glad to see others lol. CBS will air a best of show tonight(Feb. 4) and then the real deal starts next Thursday! Anybody have any thoughts for this season?? I'm rooting for Fireman Tom, Boston Rob, and the oh so diabolical Russell. Also like Tyson, J.T., and James. Don't have much to say about the women players so far, but, that could change.

Re: Survivor
I too am fairly excited about this season. I haven't found Survivor a compelling watch in quite a few seasons and stopped watching two seasons ago, but with the Heroes vs Villains I'm back on board. The thing that sucks about this is I have a bunch of Thursday shows that I watch and my DVR is going to be working overtime now. I wish Survivor would move to Wednesday, but I know that's never going to happen.

Re: Survivor
And self-important Coach. I rarely have wanted a contestant to get punched out like I've wanted for him, over and over. At least he's playing to win this time, and not just to change the game, since he's done that -
Re: Survivor
And I wish we could have Terry Diets on there again. Most deserving non-winner ever.
I know Russell deserved it, too, but I cheered for Terry the whole way, so subjectively, he's more deserving.

I am excited. Even this catching up with this years cast episode should be interesting.
Nothing to see here mods. Keep moving. -

I am excited. Even this catching up with this years cast episode should be interesting. Same year as Shane and the wooden blackberry. It's the last season that had a final two for tribal council. He was the former fighter pilot, nicknamed "Captain America."
His tribe was badly outnumbered going into the merge, the other tribe told him constantly that he was next, and he won every single immunity challenge until the final three. At that point, they did some water balancing thing, which played into the small girl's hands (I forget her name), as well as Aras the yoga instructor, who ended up winning the whole thing.
I love the guy. He knew that winning those challenges was his only chance. He had no chance at any alliances at that point, and he just went out and did it. Man deserved to win.

Re: Survivor
I recall now, nice recap (survivor junkie!) Over the years now there have been a few like that who just kick *** for a while to stay alive but can't pull it out in the end. He probably had better things to do!

They did change the game because of him. It was about unanimous among jury members that he had their vote simply out of respect. I'll never forget Shane saying in that final tribal council that Terry was the man who deserved to win.
My knowledge of his season is telling for the way his story captivated me. Usually, the ones I like don't last, and the ones that do are ones I can't stand to watch. On the TVGuide channel preview I watched, I didn't even know that the hostess was the most recent winner (although she looked more enhanced, I thought, from when I watched the show).

Re: Survivor
I hate Boston Rob for turning Survivor All stars into a stupid love fest with Amber. I also hate Tyson because he's a tool. I am pulling for someone that hasn't won it before, but definitely hard to root against JT or Tom. I see Russell unfortunately leaving very early because he's the most fresh in people's minds. As for the women, I think it will be fun to watch Courtney implode. Trying to remember a couple of them.
If you go to CBS.com and look at the bios, Russell says for most respected survivor "I don't respect any of them." Ha!

They'd know he was recent, but not much more.

Re: Survivor
Also, the whole Stephanie thing is overplayed. I'm sick of her and her eyebrows that are too high on her head.

He's only had one shot, and he's a better player than Stephanie. He guided her all the way to the end last time (until he went out in the final 3 or 4).
