I can't stand the sauce on Papa Johns. Too sweet. It's probably been 5 years since I've had it, but I seem to remember the crust having a slightly sweet taste, too.

I like Papa John's, but I agree, it has that sweet kind of taste. I do like it sometimes.

Also the quickest way to guaranteed diarrhea.

I think there are quicker ways.

Also don't forget, if Little Caesar's comes to Ames, which it is supposed to be, there will be the Hot & Ready, $5 large. No, I don't work for LC, but just rediscovered it in the past couple years and love the price.

I had their pizza for the first time last night and it was possibly the best pizza you can get in ten minutes. It was also 8 bucks for a large. I can still taste it it was so good.

How do you go this long without ever having Papa John's? by far the best large chain pizza.

Very nice. I just got back into it a year or 2 ago with the $5 deal. When it is fresh, it is pretty good.

If only Home Team was still there with their ridiculously low prices (and glass bottles of pop).

I don't care much for it. I'd rather have a Jack's pizza to be honest. We serve it in our concession stands for all of our events so the thought of P John's makes me sick, thought I suppose having any brand of pizza weekly will likely do that.

I may have to try it again. I have not had it for five years, but my experience was not good. The delivery guy showed up 1 hour late with a cold pizza, and I didn't like it at all. I use to really like Godfather's but their pizza has really gone down hill in the last 10 years. Pizza Hut is not very good and very expensive. I have become a big fan of take and bake pizza's.

If you ever had a Pasquale's Pizza, you would spit on Papa John's. I'm telling you, it's worth a special trip to Humboldt (the only town I know for sure that still has a Pasquale's). Humboldt is home to the original Pasquales. The only other Pasquale's I'm aware of in Iowa is right on Highway 18 in Garner (or maybe it's Clear Lake) but its been years since I was there so it might have gone away. I've had pizza in several different places in New York, including the world-famous Ray's and it can't hold a candle to Pasquale's in Humboldt.

I'm not a fan of Godfather's either. When we go, my husband gets a pizza and brings home the rest for leftovers. I get the cheese breadsticks and we share the dessert pizza. Pizza Hut makes me sick more often or not, so I try not to eat their pizza. I recently tried the pasta and it's not too bad. FWIW, I'd rather buy Papa Murphy's and cook it myself. The only reason that pizza ever sucks is if we cooked it wrong.

If your getting that from PJ's then maybe seek a doctor or something, I don't think I've ever gotten diarrhea from pizza especially not papa johns, you might be lacktose intolerant. You want diarrhea? Try taco bell or a hot pocket. Papa Johns is not the best pizza every but definitely the best of the big chains.

I don't think I've ever gotten diarrhea from taco bell or a hot pocket - perhaps you should seek a doctor as well.
