Why I love living in Iowa...

My fiancee' was in an accident on her way to school this morning. She is okay...nothing bad. But her car was stuck in a snow bank. I got her to class and was sitting there, in my vehicle basically screwed. I started digging it out on my own. Then a car pulled up beside me. Then, a truck pulled up beside it. Two guys with shovels in hand, helped me dig that thing out. I had no clue who these guys were. But they just came to our rescue out of the kindness of their hearts.

    How awesome is that?

I got the ones number and will be buying him a cold one later this week. The greatest people in the world live right here in Iowa.

I hear ya. I had my car stuck on Beaver at a stop sign....10 people lined up behind me and no one came out to help as I shoveled myself. Finally a guy comes over from across the street and says "those bastards aren't helping you, at least I'll try" and pushed me out.

    Thats pretty cool.

Why I loved living in Arizona---never have to worry about snow, flip flops in December, and golf clubs were always in the trunk...

Wouldn't this imply that only 1 in 11 Iowans are actually nice? The rest are just bastards?

I have a similar story. I was following my friend to his house and he slid into a snow bank. I was helping him shovel out, when a guy in a jeep drove by. He stopped and pulled us out

I will actually defend rdubbs in this instance...I have never met the wise guy, but he comes across as a pretty chill Hawk fan in my opinion. Props to you rdubbs.
