Apparently it's a FELONY to throw snowballs at cars in Virginia now. What a freaking joke, these charges better not stand.

Yeah, and dropping rocks off of overpasses onto cars shouldn't be illegal either. God, where's the fun!

Comparing rocks and snowballs would be like comparing shotgun and airsoft.

won't that be great a few years from now in virginia when like half a 3rd grade classroom are convicted felons. who honestly didn't do this when they were younger at one point?? I think they're going to a bit of an extreme on this one.

While I understand the outrage over this, think about it for a second. You are driving down the road and all of a sudden something hits your windshield.

That may startle some people enough to lose control of their cars. It is pretty hard not to react. I think that's where the problem lies.

Yea, but a felon? I thought it was ridiculous when our CA got on some guys case for throwing a snowball at his dorm window.

I used to work with a kid who got caught throwing water balloons at cars. Supposedly the balloons cracked someone's windshield, I'm not sure if that part is true. But the kid definitely got charged with a felony.

My car got hit with a water balloon once while driving. It surprised the heck out of me, but we started cracking up. I was just happy it didn't come in through the sunroof.

When I was kid, there were always jerks who thought it was fun to compact their snowballs into iceballs (when the snow/conditions permitted). Not much difference between one of those and a rock.
