The directive of the web site and its creative members is to dispel the myth that Tecmo Bowl is just a game of randomly picking 4 plays. Nothing could be further from the truth! The basic strategies we created in the early days of Tecmo Bowl took a major step in forming a set of educated guidelines to follow. These methods added a whole new competitive dimension to the game at that time.

Lengthy study and research from recent years has become the catalyst in transforming Tecmo Bowl into the ultimate cerebral battle. Specific game planning for each team and all possible match-ups has pushed the competitive edge to the highest level. Intricate plans have been devised on how to attack the personnel of each defense and how to exploit any weakness an offense has in the playbook.

The same sentiment on the complexity of RBI Baseball rings true as well. By dissecting the game of RBI Baseball ratings on a player by player basis we have achieved a phenomenal understanding of the game. Nice site! I do much prefer Tecmo Super Bowl though... Stats, 8 plays, 32 teams... etc...

Trying to take a stab at those NFL network top 10 lists. It was fairly fun to make as my buddies and I exchanged some emails to decide how the list would shake out.

There's a national tourney in Chicago every other year. Hundred bucks to get in. 16 players, $800 to the winner. There are some ridiculous players at that each year. Always has some noob show up and talk smack about how good he is...and he's usually in the 1st set of players eliminated. A buddy of mine from Ohio is a 4 time runner-up in that tourney. Guy rolls till the finals every year, but comes up short.

I got no-hit for the 1st time in my life one year at that tourney.

Each year there's only about 6 guys that are viable options to win it.

TSB is huge online with the edits they do for the game...a real big community out there with tons of people still playing in NES tourneys and online. There's a couple reasons, but we just like to roll with the original.

Baseball Stars was the Best Baseball game.... Love how you built a team and had to have money for it. Just too bad they didn't have more "real" teams on it.

I loved both of those games. We would rent a sega to play super techmo and play it non stop for a couple of days. Used to wake up with the music playing in my head. I liked RBI too because it was easy to win if you werent looking for a challenge. I think it was RBI 3 I played and I'd take the 83 Orioles and play the regular Indian team. Who needs a challenge when you can just whip the other team 20 something to 1?

You can download Tecmo on Wii but not Super Tecmo. This is one of the biggest travesties in the world.

I played baseball stars when I was pretty young and remember it to be somewhat similar to RBI. Before anyone champions it as the greatest game of that era, I'd need to know how it holds up in 2 player mode though.

Superbowl is the superior game but as for my favorite NES baseball game I like Little League World Series. It was suprisingly fun game, and had good depth to it. I must've had at least 4 bunts for home runs against the italian team in one game.

Me NES still works and I showed my two sons Super Tecmo Bowl....they looked at me like I was crazY!!!

We used to play that game for HOURS...I'm sure I skipped plenty of classes due to our STB Tourneys
