This one for me. I literally cannot write in cursive anymore. I stopped writing in cursive in high school. I couldn't write a sentence if you wanted me to.
Another thing that I was taught was that a lot of the stuff I was learning was important. They really had me fooled there for a bit.
Re: What's Something You Were Taught...
I havent used cursive since the year after they taught it. I dont even right my name in cursive unless scribbles count towards cursive.

As far as #3, well they aren't about to teach a 6th grade number theory. So yeah..most people won't be running into imaginary numbers or anything so they just tell you that **** so you don't have to rot your mind

It's sad really. How many countries don't use the metric system?? 2, maybe 3? Time to step up America!
The metric system is so easy...."oh convert meters to kilometers multiply by 1000 because kilo means 1000 and meters is the base" If you want to convert feet to miles, you have to divide by some weird number, 5280.
Re: What's Something You Were Taught...
Cursive also takes too much time to write too.. "oh you have an extra hump so your letter makes no sense anymore. It's now an 'm' instead of an 'n'."

But for #3, I was taught that in 7th and 8th grades (when I took Algebra and Geometry), so by that point we should be able to comprehend imaginary numbers... It's not that hard.
