    What's Something You Were Taught...

... in elementary/middle/high school that you know is complete bull now? What a hilarious read.

What's something you were taught in elementary/middle/high school that you today know is complete ********? : AskReddit

    Three of mine:
    1) Pluto is a planet... such a sad day when that changed.
    2) YOU WILL USE CURSIVE ALL THE TIME WHEN YOU ARE OLDER!!! NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
    3) Anything math related, like 'You can't take the square root of a negative number' and 'Anything divided by zero is zero'... ugh...

    What about you guys?

You hit the nail on the head with #2.

Haven't written cursive (except for my signature) since sometime in high school.

When learning to drive, my Dad told me if I ever used my left foot to brake, he would cut it off. I still have my left foot, but have never used it to brake.

Yeah that's why I think it was wrong and school lunches in the 80s and 90s were 50% crap.

Earth will run out of crude oil before you graduate from high school.

Within 25 years you'll be using nothing but the metric system.

My kids are working with this now.
I made them do a ton of English conversions first, then metric......
They are so ****** that we don't use the metric because it's so easy to work with

It's sad really. How many countries don't use the metric system?? 2, maybe 3? Time to step up America!
