Only saw it once, but liked it. That Kevin O'Leary dude is just brutally honest with some people.

Great show...Cactus Jack Barringer from Ames was on that show one time with a weight loss invention. The Sharks offered him the $$ if he came back in 3 months and had lost 20 pounds using it. About Cactus Jack -

I loved that guy on the show...although when they showed his house, they made it look like he lived in the middle of nowhere in iowa.
I loved his product though in all honesty. I can do pushups easily, hell i can do planche pushups, but i know a lot of people have trouble doing them and training them. There's products like this for pullups and chinups, and dips, but I'm not sure if I've seen it for pushups. Most of them are aimed at making them harder, so what he had was great.

Yeah he is..I like him, usually, even though he's really brutal, he's usually 100% correct except a few times. The only thing I don't like is when he basically ruins some people with what he says, but sometimes they need to hear it........................like this brother-sister who had a store that's netted maybe $20,000 over 3 years and they've put in over $100k into it. He told them to stop wasting their money.

Jack has always tried to appear larger than life. Many young people here may not know it, but Jack's first big hit was those Monster Arm Wrestling machines where opposing levers eliminated advantages in length of arms, grip styles, etc. He ended up going broke because he wasn't adequately prepared with product liability insurance. (Apparently in this country, people will sue for any reason)
The machines were really big before the lawsuit and they were plunking them in bars everywhere. It was only a couple of year or so run before things came crashing down. Most around here figured he was done until he showed up with his One Shot stuff. Used to be able to buy it at Save-U-More in Ames and the local Hy-Vees. Next thing you know, he was on QVC, semi famous, and making big money again.
A kid I went to high school with ended up marrying one of his daughters. Only met Jack once, about 15 years ago. If you didn't know and understand him, you'd think he was a major d'bag. But all and all, a pretty decent guy, and certainly colorful.
Walking on water is easy. Just do it in December when it's frozen.
