Re: Legends story to be researched by KCCI
Man all this talk about Legends makes me hungry for one of their chicken sandwiches with pepperoni and ham on it. They are amazing. I hope they aren't too busy.

Can we boycott teachers from only certain states? I would hate to boycott teachers in Iowa but wouldn't feel so bad about boycotting teachers from say.... South Carolina. SC has about the most **** poor education in the United States. I saw some story about their problems and they were saying that nearly 25% of students by the time they reach the 12th grade can only read at a 5th grade level. Now that is pathetic and totally worth boycotting.

Wasn't that Miss Teen candidate from a few years back from South Carolina? The one who gave the rambling, pointless answer about why a large number of Americans can't find the US on a globe, and somehow brought Iraq and South Africa into the equation?
Edit: Can't do YouTube from work - but this might suffice.

Yes... and I am pretty sure she had to have been in that 25% as well.

I bet you would be surprised. I certainly wouldn't pass on a restaurant because of some silly unfounded email. Any press is good press.

"I personally believe that US Americans are unable to do so because, um, some people out there in our nation don't have maps and, uh, I believe that our, uh, education like such as, uh, South Africa and, uh, the Iraq and everywhere like such as, and I believe that they should, uh our education over here in the US should help the US, uh, should help South Africa and should help Iraq and the Asian countries, so we will be able to build up our future."
-Miss South Carolina Teen Lauren Caitlin Upton after being asked why a fifth of Americans can't locate the US on a world map.
Funny you should mention that as I have a copy of it hanging up at my desk. It came from a desk calendar of the 365 stupidest things ever said. I had to get all the way to January 1 for that little gem to appear!

You must have been there. Whats your side of the story?
Re: Legends story to be researched by KCCI

I wouldn't pass on a restaurant based off of one group's poor experience, but I don't think the email was unfounded. In fact, the KCCI video interviewing the owner sounds like it confirms the email. He did not refute any part of it. "Hasta Luego!"
This owner lost control, and he admitted it on camera. Not unfounded at all.

"the Iraq".
I don't know why - but that's my favorite part.
Re: Legends story to be researched by KCCI
I travel to central Iowa offten and I will never spend my money at a Legends ever again. The owner should relize that your best advertising is word of mouth. Sounds like this guy is a complete idiot and has little business sense.
