Dallas also has a similar people mover system if you have to fly into the D terminal, and need to get to A, B, or C. Everybody boards a tram that takes off across the tarmac dodging planes as they taxi. I felt like I was in the movie "Speed" when I rode it... mostlly because I had Dennis Hopper's severed head in my carry-on.

Are you sure this is still the case? They have the Skylink now connecting all the terminals. When I flew into terminal D last June, we used the Skylink.
Houston is doing some remodeling, so it is a bit of a mess right now.

You could be right. The last time I had to ride the tram at DFW was probably 4-5 years ago. I've been there since, but did not have to go through the D-terminal.

Don't sugar coat it , tell us how you really feel about ATL. I would probably have the same feelings about ATL, only been there twice with one real bad experience. O'Hare unfortunately, been there many times without one flight on time or being a total train wreck(which is hard to do at an airport).

DFW has people movers? I thought they only had the tram. I've flown through there plenty of times and have only ever ridden the tram.

they have the train that runs in a circle between A, B, and C terminals, but if you fly into D terminal and need to get to A, B, or C, you have to ride on a glorified bus with no seats. At least you used to. I guess it's no longer in use, but as of 2006 it was there.

I'm pretty sure there are no longer any "people movers" in use at DFW. They were temporary while Skylink was under construction, and Skylink has been operational for about two years now. The old "TRAAM" is no longer in service either.
If you are outside security, the TerminalLink service (vans) will take you from terminal to terminal.
