Pizza near Merle Hay
We are having my daughters birthday party at the Ramada Inn waterpark on Merle Hay next weekend. We are having the Hy Vee north of there make us 4 dozen cupcakes and was going to get Hy Vee take and bake pizza, they said for a charge they will cook it for us and we just have to pick it up. Not sure if i want to go that route for pizza.
Was wondering what there is around that area for pizza for large groups. Not a fan of Pizza Hut or most of the chains for that matter. Do like little ceasers but haven't looked if there is one in that area. But need something good that won't break the bank since we will most likely be ordering 10-12 pizzas.
Thanks

Re: Pizza near Merle Hay
You're having 50 people at your daughter's birthday?

Re: Pizza near Merle Hay
The best pizza near Merle Hay is Felix and Oscars, but too $ for 50 people.
If you do call a "chain", I'd bet you could negotiate a deal for 10 pizzas

I was going suggest Felix and Oscar's as well. I also enjoy Pagliai's in that area as well. Locations of Pagliai's Pizza -
Re: Pizza near Merle Hay
March is $4 pizza month at our local hyvee, in my experience, kids don't really care - its just pizaa - I would go with HyVee if for not other reason its cheap, we actually prefer it over lil Caesers

Thanks Encore Pizza, owned by former Cyclone Dennis Gibson, is on Merle Hay Road in Johnston, across from Hy-Vee. Very good thin crust pizza.

Just so you know, they won't let you use any of the large tables around the pool area if you bring in "outside" food. I was there new years day and saw management asking people to remove the food while they were eating. We ordered pizza and had it delievered and ate it in our room. I will be there again next weekend also, maybe things have changed. By the way we had Paul Reveres pizza.

We had a pizza party for our kids there a few weeks ago. We ended up ordering from Casey's. We grabbed it from the one on 86th ST (near the I/35/I80 interchange in Urbandale. Good pizza. Good prices.

We stayed there last weekend and they still have signs everywhere stating no outside food can be brought into the public areas of the hotel. I think the restaurant there makes pizzas you could check into.

I don't know how much it costs but the pizza at the resteraunt in the hotel is pretty good.
