Now They Have Crossed The Line!

Came into work this morning only to get on CF & find out that they have blocked access the Forums section of this site. Now I can access everything else but they have a filter that is blocking it so I can't open the Forums. Luckily I have internet on my phone so I can still keep up with things every day. I don't log in daily but I do have the site open all day so I can take a quick 5 here and there to scan over what is being discussed on here. What a bunch of b.s. that they would block this site of all things!

politely email the "IT wizard" sitting in his Ivory tower and ask, "Have you denied access to Hawkeye Report/Nation as well?"

I thought about this. When I get a little time today I may get on HR or HN and see if they have blocked them also. Another conspiracy to bring down the Cyclones... I bet the NCAA is behind this!

I think I have decided to not do anything at work today but hang out on my phone and browse CF just to revolt against this clear attempt to bring down the Cyclone Nation by my employer

Well it is officially clear that they are against us. Just went out to check and I can look at forums on both HN & HR!

Actually, after that little stunt that mattthesportstalk guy pulled, I'm surprised that every employer in the state hasn't blocked all sports websites.

I worked for a company that instituted Websense. The further up the ladder you were, the more access you were given, regardless of your productivity level, or lack thereof.

That was the day I decided that I could no longer work for that company.

The sad fact is that there are always abuses. My wife had a guy who used to work for her who was online three hours per day or more doing non work related stuff. They dealt with him directly.

Any company unwilling to deal with abuses on an individual basis is not one worth working for if they are going to treat their employees like cattle.

Same here. Also found that the virus deleted at same time was "hiloti.gen.d", a recent popup scammer to trick one to download Winders Defender 2010. Any connection? After deletion, now it is okay.

It's still being blocked and it's throwing my day off. hawkeyenation is still coming up.

Please name the company so we can bad mouth them accordingly. In addition, I want to add them to my blacklist of companies not to work for.
