What a Turrable, turabble week!

In terms of being a sports fan, I am not sure I have ever experienced a week or 10 days as bad as the last week or 10 days. To review:

As a Twins fan, Joe Nathan may be lost for the season, and the richest owners in baseball have still not finalized a deal with Joe Mauer.

As a Vikings fan, Favre shows up on Leno and does not indicate if he is coming back or not. Then, the Vikings lose Chester Taylor to free agency. LT visits. Doesn't sign ....yet. Decides to spend an extra night in NY talking to Jets.

As an ISU WBB fan....Lacey gets sick. The team is just not the same without her. They lose a couple close games on the road, then lose in first game of Big 12 tourney. Hope she gets better.

As an ISU MBB fan.....Pollard comes out and says GMac will be around another year. MG's appeal is denied. CB goes pro. 2 more players, including another starter, transfer. Has any other BCS team in history had two starters with eligibility left leave in the same year, when there is no coaching change? GMac will now return fewer players for next year then Morgan left him for his first year. Great progress JP and GMac!

Anybody else have this bad a week?

I'm going to just stay inside and drink the rest of the weekend. Wake me up on Monday.

I think I understand now what it must be like to be a Cubs fan.

Just start pulling for the Cubs and you realize it's just not that bad..... it's standard.

1) Favre is coming back.
2) They're going to sign Mauer. Relax. He doesn't want to go anywhere else. He's gone on record before as saying that. He's from the TCs, doesn't want to leave. They'll open up their pocketbooks this week after the entire season sells out. I'm waiting for tickets right now.
3) Yeah, being an ISU fan sucks.

I was laid off this week. To be honest. Sports really doesn't matter all that much to me now.
