I got a great deal on a Sony blu-ray. Samsung blu-rays will also stream Netflix, but Samsung players have a lot of negative reviews online. I have a friend who connects wireless and says it works fine and he's had no issues. I already had an ethernet jack right next to the TV in that room though, so I went with a wired connection.

There's some great independent films and documentaries available streaming. Lots of non-main stream movies and classics as well. Expand those horizons a little bit.

I was going to say something like this earlier....if you can't find hours and hours of killer cinema and television streaming on Netflix then you're doing it wrong.
