Richard is one of my favorite characters. I'm wondering if he was a slave on the Black Rock hundreds of years ago. I guess Jacob gave him immortality or something...I wonder what he had to do in return. I'm very excited for this episode.

He already said he was a slave on the ship in his conversation with Jack before he asked Jack to blow him up.

Hmmmm, I see I will need to start my LOST thread sooner than usual now that somebody is broke on credits and needs the income.

Can't wait for this episode. Not because of Richard, per say, but I have always wanted to know how that boat got placed in the middle of the jungle.

Old guess: Black Rock was sailing along.......POW, Island appears after some Donkey Wheel action. Proved wrong in The Incident

New guess: Smokey is going to rock that boat and kill almost everybody on it.

I have no idea what to expect tonight. There's just so much to cover on Richard Alpert. He might be the ONE constant among so many variables that keep changing around him.

Got an e-mail today from my best friend who lives in Honolulu.

All the e-mail said was this: LOST- Think of the island as a cork.

Anybody have any idea what he means? I hate cryptic messages.
