Heres a place to put the question I've had for a while. What photo software does anyone recommend for free? All I would like to be able to do is crop, resize and do minor color/tint/brightness type stuff. Any other options would be a bonus. Last time I tried IIRC the paint type regular freebies had trouble with some of this. (Or I had trouble perhaps).

I've heard GIMP is really good. Picasa might be all that you need as well.
Hmm the only video editing software on there is Windows Live Movie Maker. Anyone know of some good (and easy to use) freeware for editing .MOVs that doesn't require Vista or Windows 7?

For what you say you want to do, Picasa (or any number of other programs) would work. But I would check out GIMP as it's full featured.

I've always liked Paint.net. I've used it more for scanned document editing, but I'm sure that it would work wonders for pictures as well.
