Toyota to recall 13,000 vehicles in South Korea - MarketWatch

The head of Toyota Motor Corp.'s South Korean unit apologized to its customer base Tuesday for "inconvenience" after the government ordered a recall of vehicles for potential defects that could trap the gas pedal under the floor mat, according to reports.
The move will affect nearly 13,000 vehicles -- namely the Lexus ES350, Camry and Camry Hybrid, the three models with floor mats that could interfere with the accelerator pedal -- Agence France-Presse reported Tuesday, citing a statement by South Korea's transport ministry.

I hope they can just figure out what is going on so it can be fixed and move on. I don't own a Toyota but know plenty of people who do and they deserve a real answer to the problem.

I have a friend who works at a dealership with about 15 of Toyota's competitors that says that this "issue" that Toyota has is absolutely and completely overblown - and considering Toyota's sales have hardly suffered, I'd say a lot of consumers agree.
