National Geographic Crossword - ISU Question

The March 2010 National Geographic Issue has a crossword puzzle. The clue to Down 1 is "Gimme__!" (start of an Iowa State cheer). It's a three letter word and according to the answer it's 'ANI'. Does this make sense to anyone?

I suck at crosswords. Some of the answers are insanely weird/difficult.

Ani - the name Jar-Jar Binks refers to Darth Vader.

It also could be a clue for the start of the cheer for Idaho State, Illinois State, Indiana State, or Itasca State Community College, etc.
