I guess I'm just not all that depressed about it. It takes Mauer less than half a game to make my annual salary - then again, I write maintenance manuals to an 8th grade reading level (and dumbing down the reading level is probably the most difficult part of the job), where Mauer hits for nearly .400 against the best pitchers in the world. I'd be lucky if I could foul off a pitch from a sub-average high school pitcher...
