Mushroom Hunting

Bad picking in SW ia. Looks like a zero production year. I am getting asparagus out of road ditches now and that usually takes place two weeks from now. When the road ditch aspargus comes on, normally the morel season is over. A bummer. I have consulted with "professional morel hunters today" and that is the general consensus.

I looked around Des Moines Monday and Tuesday of this week, but only found 1 mushroom. Anyone still having luck this late in the year? Any sugested places to look in the Des Moines area? I tried Saylorville, and a couple spots along the Des Moines river.
