Re: Top Five Funniest Movies
I am defining "funniest" as movies I can watch over and over no matter what part of the movie I start at and they are still hilarious. Also, must be a movie that is quotable on an every day basis.
1. Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy
2. The Big Lebowski
3. Knocked Up/40 Year Old Virgin are in a tie
4. Old School
5. Caddyshack
Honorable Mention:
6. Billy Madison
7. Super Troopers
8. Out Cold (If you haven't seen this movie, it is hilarious)
9. Ghostbusters
10. Tommy Boy

Re: Top Five Funniest Movies
1 - Animal House
2 - Caddyshack
3 - Anchorman
4 - Stripes
5 - Christmas Vacation

Re: Top Five Funniest Movies
I can't believe that Something about Mary, Saving Silverman & Say It Isn't So aren't on anybodys list. They are all in my top 5, the 1st ones that came to my mind. I would also add Jackie Gleason in Smokey and the Bandit. The rest of the movie stinks though.
I recommend Say It Isn't So to everyone. Not a popular movie but it was funny. Anyone that has seen it and didn't like it I want to know.

Re: Top Five Funniest Movies
I'm sure some have been mentioned before but:
Monty Python & the Holy Grail
Raising Arizona
Up (seriously, I found it really funny)
The Big Lebowski
Walk Hard

The Great Outdoors
Harlem Knights (always surprises me with the cast it had so few people have seen it, if you haven't seen it check it out)

What are some others you guys (gals) have enjoyed? I signed up for Netflix so it'll give me a chance to broaden my movie horizons.
My other four favorites are (in no particular order):
Goin' South
Groundhog Day
Coneheads
Office Space
These are movies that, if I come across them while flipping thru channels, I have to stop and watch, no matter how much of the movie is left. With your choices in movies you should watch Gross Pointe Blank if you haven't seen it yet. Also Better Off Dead is a good/funny Cusack movie.

Re: Top Five Funniest Movies
1. Better off Dead
2. Stripes
3. Vacation
4. Planes, trains, and automobiles
5. The jerk.
That is my list. I could watch those movies at any time of the day. If they come on at 3:00 in the morning I get mad because I know I am not going to bed until they are over. That is the real sign of a great movie.
Nobody but HB knows for sure. You pretty much know nothing....like Knownothing would like to say.

They say country music speaks to the heart. Unfortunately, it has to go through your ears to get there. -

Has anybody mentioned "Kingpin?"
What ever happened to truth, justice and the American Way? -

Re: Top Five Funniest Movies
Caddyshack is obvious.
Only one movie rivals it, in terms of one-liners. That movie is Army of Darkness.
