    United and Continental Merging...

    Anyone out there that is an airline industry enthusiast? I see the merger of United and Continental as being a sad moment! Looks like we will still have United in the "friendly skies" but no more United emblem or colors! Going to an airport when I was growing up I used to see aircraft of all colors and brands...now we pretty much see United, Delta or American. I do not like the new look for "United"!

    This has "WRONG" plastered all over it. About as "WRONG" as seeing Delta's logo plastered all over MSP...

    Continental just lost a customer. I've never had good experience with United and will not fly with them.

    I completely agree with your assessment! I can't get used to seeing Delta at MSP so prominently! It is like flying through St Louis and not finding any reference to TWA (or Ozark for that matter)!

    The odd part to me is the signage on 494 that now refers to Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 instead of the Lindbergh and Humphrey Terminals.

    Can someone please tell me what "$1.0 billion to $1.2 billion in net annual synergies" and "$200 million and $300 million of net annual cost synergies" means? Is that cost elimination or reduction? Is it asset related? I have never seen such a high level press release so Dilbertized as this one!
