I saw my cat last night for the first time in over a month. I tried to walk up slowly to pick him up, but after 6 years of being inside he was so scared that he took off running and I couldn't find him.
My boss let me borrow his live trap from work today and when I got home from work at 5:30 I set it with some cat food and cat nip. Less than 2 hours later I go out and he's already in there! I'd seen him once in a month and I caught him in under 2 hours.
Besides being really really skinny he seems to be ok. Good thing I had a self feeder and he had all of those fat reserves! Hasn't quit meowing yet and is still really skiddish, but still very friendly.
Thanks for all of the well wishes and for everyone who kept an eye out for me!
Talk about a great night!!!
Now that MBB is back, do we still have to pretend that WBB matters?
when i moved from NY to IA, we brought our cat and it escaped into a national park. park rangers randomly found it 3 months later and shipped it back to us. Just goes to show you.. cats survive crazy things.
I was going to make a new thread but this seemed relevant. I lost a black and white cat with a distinctive spot on the tip of his nose in Ames yesterday. Help me out people.
