I'm heading there for a combination of work and play, probably later this month. If anyone knows of the best sights to see there, any helpful advice would be appreciated.

Been there, not really much to see in Naples. Just really enjoy the weather and everything. I guess for sightseeing the Everglades is just south of Naples, and then Fort Lauderdale and Miami are to the east of it for shopping/tourism/city life, but nothing too spectacular around the area.
I agree w/geburgess, not a whole lot of action in Naples but lots of retirees ;) Not sure how much free time you have but if you can catch the key west express (google it), it's a great trip, inexpensive & worth the couple days spent in Key West.
Otherwise, I would say you could head an hour north to Sarasota or two and a half hours north to Tampa - plenty to see & do up there...swing by MacDinton's and I'll buy you a beer if I'm working but I only work the weekends!
If you're looking for a fantastic beach to hang out on while you're down there, make a trip to Sanibel Island. It's definitely worth the trip and only about an hour away from Naples.
Thanks.....that's kind of the impression I got from visiting websites from their tourism bureau. The main highlight will be taking my son to see the ocean, since he hasn't done that before. It will probably be four nights/five days, and about half of that will be business, so it shouldn't take much to fill our time.
This. My parents have a vacation home in Estero which is right by Naples. DEFINITELY take a trip to Sanibel Island. It is known as one of the best shelling beaches in the world. If you get there early enough in the morning you will find some awesome shells. I make it a point to go there every time I visit.
I might also suggest Coconut Point. It's a new shopping area in Estero that is fairly similar to Jordan Creek except all of the shops are outside... meaning that you walk outside between each store. Pretty cool and there are a TON of good restaurants in that area.
Downtown Ft. Myers is also pretty close and a fun area to walk around and shop. You could also take a tour of Benjamin Franklins vacation home and property. Pretty cool if you are in to that kind of stuff, it's also near Ft. Myers.
Don't forgot to stop and do some football recruiting.... you're in the area!!
I go here every summer. Best food in the world. No bad restaurants in the city.
Better pack your oil-resistant Speedo ...or head to the Atlantic side.
The Great Dock Canoe Race is this weekend and I guess it is a huge party over the weekend. I'll be there. Besides that, 5th avenue is like there mainstreet. Good for beautiful hot mom watching, ha.
Let me talk to some people and I'll get back to you about some off the path and cheap fun things to do.
When in Florida, Fish. Offshore, inshore, its all great.
Oh yeah, and go to the beach too.
Lots of cougars down there, be selective.
