Either that or put a chair under the pullup bar so she can cheat with her feet. After a few weeks of cheating, she will be able to do pullup bar hangs, and then full pullups a few weeks later.
When I first started Kosama, I could not do 2 pullups, and now I can do a dozen. But it takes a LOOOONG time to get to the point you can do them. Most of the women in our class can barely do them after their 8 week session Awesome, thank you.

Re: P90X/workingout advice
Insanity is kicking my *** much worse than P90X but I guess that's because I've always been into lifting weights and not so interested in the cardio.

I started it, and re-injured my knee (I had ACL surgery about a year before and didn't heal as well as planned). I got about 2 weeks into it and started noticing some change, but part of that was also because I was following the diet plan. I plan on starting up here again soon.
Follow the diet plan and don't skip on the stretching and you should be fine. The first few days are rough but if you guys are doing it together, it should be easier to motivate each other to finish it.

The best part about the Insanity videos is the eye candy. Most of the girls are smoking hot.

Re: P90X/workingout advice
A buddy of mine started P90 and is in his third cycle now. He has lost a total of 56 pounds to date. Looks and acts like a different man! He is not the strictest about his diet, but does watch it. It obviously works if you stick to it. The best thing he did was use his facebook page to talk about his daily workout and progress. The feedback he got from friends along the way was a real motivator.

Re: P90X/workingout advice
Two tips...
#1, My soda consumption is cyclical and I can usually quit for 2-3 months every spring. When I haven't had a soda in a couple months I'm 10lbs lighter and have a pretty solid six pack.
#2, If you don't have the self control for cutting out soda. Don't eat dinner on a Friday night, and go out and drink heavily with your friends. I suggest pounding 10-15 Crown and Waters. You'll have to apoligize to all of your friends the next morning, but don't worry they're used to it. You won't be able to walk, move, eat, or otherwise think for the next two days. The great thing is you be so dehydrated that you'll lose 10lbs of water and still have the awesome 6-pack. Win Win. We call it P1X.

Startup costs were pretty minimal, all I needed was a pullup bar and I got some new weights. 80 bucks total isn't too bad considering gym membership costs that in 3 months. I'm also a lot more motivated to stay on top of it than I would be if I was going to the gym by myself.
Another thing I've found helpful is to keep track of what you eat, calories burned, and weight. It was a real eye-opener when I started calorie counting my first few days before the program, and realized how much **** I actually eat. cutting back has been hard, but it's been worth it already.
