Re: LOST: The End (POSSIBLE SPOILERS)
I thought the storytelling was amazing for this episode. When Jack asked Christian "How are you here?" and Christian said "No, Jack, how are YOU here?", that was a great twist.
I could have used more on-island resolution but as someone said, that really isn't the point of the story.
We didn't get a lot of answers but I feel very satisfied (and yet sad) that its all over.

But, I think Walt left the island. Then he led his life and since he was so young and he left so early it probably wasn't the greatest impact on his life as it was the others.

Also, Matthew Fox said on Jimmy Kimmel that everything on the island definitely happened so that answers that for anyone who was thinking otherwise.

LOST unanswered
OK, for the record, I get the whole premise of the show and that the alternate timeline is purgatory. However, focusing on the island myteries alone, there were obviously several unexplained events. This thread is to list the things people feel were never explained well enough. And to answer them in case someone asks a question and missed the answer during the series. Here are a few of mine:
Why were the others so interested in Walt and his special abilities?
Why weren't women able to live through childbirth on the island?
What was the special "box" used to bring Locke's father to the island?

What was the special "box" used to bring Locke's father to the island? Walt was never answered because he grew a foot overnight and they wrote him out of the show. In the end not too important to the story line after Season 2.
2nd one was never really answered, though it was likely something to do with the accident with the Dharma initiative releasing all the electromagnetic energy on the island or something.
Don't even remember the last one, I thought he was just brought there when Sawyer killed him, don't remember any special box.

Yep Michael was hanging out in the jungle whispering, the actor that played him even confirmed that on the aftershow. He died on the freighter at the end of Season 4, however it doesn't matter "when" you die as the place they were meeting was timeless.

What was the special "box" used to bring Locke's father to the island? There's way more than just these three questions to be answered about the island. In the end it looks like the island was just a setting and the real story overall was Jack and his progression to the point where after his death he accepted everything that transpired.

Although I would have liked more resolution with Walt.

Also, some of the questions some people feel are unanswered were never really posed in the first place. I see people worked up over the statue, well I thought it was obvious that the shots of the statue were to inform the viewer that the island was ancient and the struggle has been going on long before Jacob even. We don't need to know who built it thousands of years ago.
