Thanks to US Cellular
Thank you to US Cellular for being so understanding and refusing to suspend Heather's cell phone account until I can produce a court approved power of attorney. I guess the hospital paperwork, newspaper articles, accident pictures, her ID, my ID, and their bill sent to my home weren't quite enough.
Hope is not a method. Soon is not a time. -
Re: Thanks to US Cellular
Just something else you don't need to deal with. Sorry to hear that. For the record, cell phone companies are BY FAR the worst companies to deal with.

Re: Thanks to US Cellular
I opened this hoping it was something good that they had done...bummer.
All of us on Cyclone Fanatic are still with you Tec!

Re: Thanks to US Cellular
Aww man. It's little things like this that will just freakin make you wanna rip something apart. Please kip your chin up, you are in our thoughts.
Stay tough and strong Tec.

Re: Thanks to US Cellular
As a US Cellular customer I too was hoping that this would be good news from them. Very disappointing to hear that as well.
The last thing you need is other people/companies making things difficult for you at this time.

Re: Thanks to US Cellular
They are the worst cell company I have ever dealt with, will never do business with them again, and this just solidifies that for me.

Re: Thanks to US Cellular
I've been with US Cellular for 9 years. Never had anything close to a problem so I don't know their customer service is.
Unfortunately I'm looking for a new phone and am unhappy with their selection. Hoping Verizon or Sprint will be good as good as they were for me.

Not sure the whole story, but keep your head up.
Remember that stressed spelled backwards is desserts!

Re: Thanks to US Cellular
Definitely a bummer, but they have rules they have to follow just like everyone else.

Except they write their own rules which are almost always designed to protect their interests and not those of the customer. Somebody in a company like that surely has the power to do the right thing rather than hiding behind some bogus policy. At the very least, they should issue a retroactive refund dating back to the accident.

Re: Thanks to US Cellular
Most of the time if you call their customer service help line and say you want to end your contract you will get to people that are trained and authorized to cut deals. Also if your on twitter go ahead and tweet it out that you have had bad service, almost all large companies have now hired people to basically sit on twitter and search for people tweeting about their company and if it's bad they get them hooked up with deals and get it fixed fast to avoid the bad reputation.

Re: Thanks to US Cellular
You will all be happy to know that today we recieved a message from US Cellular appologizing and telling me they were honoring my request to suspend Heather's account. A "friend of the family" had emailed them and gave them what for. All's well that ends well.
Hope is not a method. Soon is not a time.
