I'm not an anti-Apple person at all (I've had every generation of iPod), but do you have details on exactly what the iPad does? It seems to me like it's a bigger iPod touch mixed with a little bit of a Kindle - is that pretty accurate?
I want to hear from someone that owns one and see what it can actually do. I've heard horrible stories about it but from second hand sources.
I just find it funny that it's trying to sell it as a kindle when it isn't a kindle. Kindle specializes in reading books and has a screen for it and is run by Amazon the largest bookseller in the world, IPAD is a computer screen and I would imagine the screen would hurt your eyes.
"If you can't hear me, it's because I'm in parentheses."
There are two versions, a Wi-Fi only version and a version with Wi-Fi and 3G service through ATT. I have the Wi-Fi version and I love it. I previously had a netbook, and this pretty much replaces that device. IT can't do everything a netbook can, but it does almost everything I did with my netbook. In general I use it for web surfing around the house and on the go. I'm taking it to europe with me in a week as my primary "computer" so I don't have to haul around a laptop or even the netbook but can still do all my e-mail, web browsing, etc on it via Wi-Fi.
