And yet I didn't care for him in Iron Man 2, which surprised me because those two are a couple of my favorites as well.

Haven't seen it yet but I don't like the change fro TH to him. I don't particularly like TH though.

I was basically in the same boat, but I thought that Terrence Howard fit that part really well, and Don Cheadle just doesn't.

Well you can't make a role with one guy and switch. I think Cheadle could have done just as well in 1, but that switching stuff usually doesn't work.

Truth. Katie Holmes to Maggie Gyllenhall in the Batman movies is the only successful one I can think of.

Katie Holmes/Maggie Gyllenhall was not a success. Christopher Nolan could have ditched Aaron Eckhart and cast Maggie as Two-Face. ugh.

Maggie Gyllenhall may not be the best looker in Hollywood, but Katie Holmes constantly talking out of the side of her mouth annoys the crap out of me. Plus, she's just not that good of an actress.

Agreed, her dialogue sounds so damn unnatural in Batman Begins and considering no one else's sounds that bad, it must be the acting. Maggie Gyllenhall at least could act.

Funny People needed to be about 30-45 minutes shorter to be entertaining. It just was way too long and a lot of it was unnecessary. The pacing was terrible and it just couldn't hold my attention being that long.
