    Re: Drinking Alone

Just opened up a bottle of Victory's Golden Monkey Tripel. Took down a few drinks and thought, "Wow, this is good...but it has a bite." Knowing Tripels tend to be a bit stronger, I checked the label: 9.5. It was delicious. I just got back from Boulder and brought back $70 worth of different beers. I'll try to give updates.

    Re: Drinking Alone

Since graduating and moving out to Las Vegas, I've been thinking about this very question for the past 3 weeks. Is it cool for me to pregame at my apartment, take a cab to the strip, and go hit on hot tourists? I haven't done it yet, but it has been 3 weeks...

    Re: Drinking Alone

I don't see a problem with it at all. When my GF is gone or busy with her friends on a Friday or Saturday, I enjoy boozing alone. I usually hit the Meadows, make my Pick 3 or 4 action on the ponies and drive home to get lit and watch the races on T.V.

I did that back in the day. My way of relaxing after all the drinking buddies went their separate ways. Just plain grew out of it probably 15 years ago.

    Re: Drinking Alone

To really kick it up a notch, you need to drink alone, in the morning, to impress your friends & make the sadness go away - even if just for a few hours.

Seriously, if it gets that bad - you need to stop. But a few cocktails while solo won't hurt you.

I'm giving you +1 just for the Sailor Jerry's. Sailor Jerry caused me to break into Rosenblatt Stadium at night during the College World Series of 2007

    Re: Drinking Alone

No problem, in my opinion. Do what you want as long as no one is being bothered.

    However, DO NOT:

Drink and drive or ride with anyone who has been drinking. Just DO NOT DO IT!
I've been around the block a few times. I have avoided a DUI. Drinking and driving is a horrible idea.

So what do you guys think, is getting hammered alone a precursor to paranoid schizophrenia or a path to enlightenment?
Vinyl rules, but it works better with green veggies.

Speaking of vinyl, I took a look through my folks old records the other day. I couldn't be more ****** at their musical tastes. Best I found were a couple of Mama's and the Papa's records and a 4-Record compilation that included some Beatles songs and some Frampton. Honorable mention went to the Bee Gee's "Spirits Having Flown". The rest was mainly **** like The Carpenters and Olivia Newton John.
