So my roommates have a 62 passenger tailgate bus they are building and they can find nobody to insure it. Any suggestions? They would probably prefer to insure it around the algona or Ames areas.

I'm trying to figure out who the hell I probably know who has this?

I think if you call it a Cyclone Spirit Transport Vehicle instead of a 62 passenger tailgate bus you might have better luck.
I would suggest you make it into an RV. That is what we did for our 24 passanger shuttle bus for a RAGBRAI vehicle. We also took out all but 15 seats, and we are insured by progressive. I think the 15 people was a mandate from Progressive. We used some of the space to add the items that you need to make a vehicle an RV. You need to have 4 of 7 items to make the vehicle an RV, you can find these on the Iowa DOT web site.
