iPhone 4
Jobs, aka Big Brother in some anti-Apple circles, announced what we have all known for awhile now: iPhone 4 is coming soon to an ear near you.

Re: iPhone 4
The AT&T 3G network crapped out during the presentation.
Nothing more.
The campaign starts now. November 6, 2012. -
Re: iPhone 4
As long as its still on the crappiest network, all else doesnt matter.

Nothing more. Actually they were on wifi. Don't disagree with the AT&T thoughts though.

Nice to know Apple's no longer mocking Windows for the BSOD... Chuck Lidell: I paint my toenails with pink and black polish. Problem is, I get more paint on my toes and on the carpet than on my nails. Any advice? Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this. -

Unfortunately for us consumers, Apple's strategy has been to go for profit margin, not total sales. By having an exclusivity deal with AT&T they have created an artificial shortage/demand for their product (i.e. the rest of us want one and can't have one), which keeps prices up. That's how they like it and despite rumors of a Verizon iPhone I'm not convinced it's coming anytime soon.

Unfortunately for apple, android is rapidly improving, much like their chrome browser has... i dont think its very long before android completely overtakes them.

IMO, if Google announces that Droid will have Flash, even if Apple does release a Verizon-compatible phone, the decision is made for me...

I have AT&T and an iPhone. Absolutely love it - when it's in 3G. My wife and I were doing a bit of house-hunting yesterday up around Saylorville. Technically still in Ankeny and we were relegated to standard service. Looking for info from realtor sites and I nearly threw the damn thing out the window.
My family lives in Dubuque - no 3G coverage there.
Honestly the thing is almost worthless without it. Going on a trip to CO and WY next week. Anxious/scared to see how that works out.....
Also saw a piece last week were AT&T is going to stop offering "unlimited" data packages in hope it'll alleviate some of it's congestions issues. So now you can't get 3G coverage in wide areas (basically all of Iowa outside DSM) and when you do, if you have a new contract - you'll pay through the nose for it.
Droid is getting a serious look when this contract is up.
