I have a couple of clients coming in from Indianapolis next Monday. Just wondering where the best place for a business dinner would be. Open Flame? Fuji? Mongolian Grill? Old Main?
Not Hickory Park.
Thanks for your help!!

Really depends on the type of client.
For drinking, grilling, meat, and lots of that type of fun head to the Open Flame.
If you want to entertain, head to Fuji. A fun time and they may let their guard down a little.
Aunt Maude's is a good choice for a classy dinner if that is more along the lines of what you're trying to do. The Cafe would also work, then head to Brewers for a drink afterwards.
If you are up for a drive head to rubes in Montour about 5 minutes away from marshalltown, Ten times better then open Flame. Best steak ever.
But depends on the Client, if they are just down to earth guys go to west town, if they are uptight go to the cafe. A personal favorite of mine is to get a pizza to go at Great Plains then head over to the Corner pocket for drinks and pool.
The Broiler out on west Lincoln Way is pretty good.
Cafe Shi in the Northern Lights shopping center.
Café Shi
I have a lot of lunch meetings at Dublin Bay and Wallabys. Everyone must like them because I always get requests to go back there.
It's also hard to go wrong with Fuji if they want a little entertainment with dinner.
Aunt Maude's, Open Flame, or Old Main work great as well.
Ames has some great places to eat so just pick one and go with it, you will get 100 different answers on here. Just pick a place that will work for what your looking for and stick with it.
I'd say for hosting a client, your best bet is The Cafe. The place is clean, the menu is not the old Iowa meat 'n potatoes and the atmosphere is good.
For the most part, though, it all depends on the relationship with the client. Have they been to Iowa before? Do they seem laid back or is this strictly a business lunch? To me, Aunt Maudes and the Open Flame have great food, but both places are a little run down IMO. Everyone's been to a Japanese hibachi grill, so I don't know if Fuji does anything for you.
My suggestion with be either the Cafe, The Spice, or Cafe Shi. If the visitors are more laid back and not superiors, you could do Hickory Park, Dublin Bay, West Towne Pub, Wallabys, Olde Main.
B-Bops. If they complain, you don't want them as a client.
The Cafe, Aunt Maudes, or Cafe Shi
Classy places
I am a big fan of Fuji though too.
I can't remember the name (as it has been a while since I ate there) but what is the place on the corner of Duff and Lincoln Way? It has steaks and seafood and is outstanding and would work for a business dinner.
