I've got an idea for another Jaws Movie. It's called Bigger Jaws. The men on the boat and regular Jaws have to join forces against a common enemy.
Jaws rocked. I saw it as a kid growing up in the 80's. Classic "score." Didn't UNLV use that theme to tip off the ball in Basketball?
I would consider this the start of the "Summer" blockbuster trend - two years before StarWars.
Was only a Senior in HS - took a really hot date, and loved it when she grabbed and hugged me at the scary part
They should've used "Hooper's" boat! That thing was tough-looking! had cameras, speed... electronics... a lot newer than the Orca.
Ha. Jaws in Pop Culture. Back to the Future 2.... McFly see's a promo for Jaws 19.
I saw it on cable as a kid in the 80s and I was scared to death swimming in the local lake. It re-surfaced for me when I lived and surfed in San Francisco back in the late 90s. That damn music came into my head every time I got in the water.
I wonder how the movie would have done if the shark worked properly and they didn't have to go to the "don't show the shark until late in the movie" strategy? Probably one of the better outcomes for a movie screwup.

Neat story of a reporter finding the last remaining shark molded for the film.
