Summer Beer Thread

After a little searching I didn't notice a summer beer thread so here it goes....

Summer is one of the best seasons for beer IMO. I recently tried Sam Adams Summer Ale, Beach Bum Blonde Ale, and Boulevard Zon.

Summer Ale- The best summer beer so far. Possibly the best kind of Sam Adams that I have had.

Beach Bum- Not what I expected. I was expecting somethinng a little lighter but the flavor was very good. It is also 5.4% alcohol.

Zon- This beer was very refreshing and had a good aftertaste. One of the best Belgians I have had.

Anyone have any ideas on what I should purchase next?

I mixed up a cooler of stripngonaked this weekend. Darn near got me too.
30 cans beer. Bottle Vodka. Canister of Countrytime powdered lemonade. Mix gently together with ice.
Goes down smooth. Too smooth.

Summer Shandy is a staple every summer.

I also liked Zon when I had it.

If you can find it, try an Abita. They have seasonal brews and even make a tasty strawberry beer, good for summer.

Summer Ale Sam Adams is really great for a full flavored summer beer.
Beach Bum Blonde is awesome, they have that on tap at Latitude 41.
Summer Shandy is great also but they recently came out with 12 packs of cans, but I personally think it is way better out of bottle...

This is also one of my go to summertime drinks.

Funny things is my in laws in Minnesota call this Bull Frog.

Definitely can't go wrong with some stripngonaked. I usually use the frozen lemenade concentrate instead of countrytime though. This stuff will creep up on you.

If you like wheat beers I suggest Hoegaarden Original. A great Belgian beer perfect for summer!

If you want to try it out- here's a smaller batch ratio:

1 can frozen lemonade concentrate
1 can o' beer
1 can of vodka (use empty lemonade container)
