Spinner's magazine's 77 most unforgettable movie songs
Heard this mentioned on KGGO this morning. I don't know who comprised the panel for this but a major screw is loose. The 77 Most Unforgettable Movie Songs - Spinner CF Squad : Erik, Cubsy, Gnomeborg, Rulzzz, TBD , TBD -
Re: Spinner's magazine's 77 most unforgettable movie songs
I actually kind of liked this list - it wasn't filled with "The Way We Were" and all of the stuff you normally see on "Best of" lists. It was a little more off-the-beaten-path.

I agree with number 1 but Danger Zone absolutely has to be in the top 5.
I'm on Twitter too: Tre4ISU
Or so I have read. -

Philadelphia was great movie, however I remember years ago when I first watched it the opening song by Bruce Springsteen stood out and was always the first thing I thought about when someone mentioned the movie. Great song and very fitting.

Some memorable songs on that list, but I would restrict that list to movie songs that were made famous by the movie, not great songs that were used 15 years later. -

I can agree with #1 and #3 making the list... but the rest of the top 10??? OMG!

Re: Spinner's magazine's 77 most unforgettable movie songs
Kind of fun to go through that list but there were some WTF omissions. No "As Time Goes By' from Casablanca? No "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" from Wizard of Oz? No theme music from Dr. Zhivago, The Godfather, Lawrence of Arabia or The Good The Bad and The Ugly or Jaws? I’ll add my own special category for best music as credits roll: - Ludicris “Get Back” in Tropic Thunder
- Harry Belafonte “Jump in the Line” in Beetlejuice
- Vera Lynn “We’ll Meet Again” from Dr. Stranglelove

Good point. It almost could diverge into two separate lists in that way. Although at least the list is "Unforgettable" movie songs, not "best original movie soundtrack songs" or something of that sort.
"The End" in A-Now was OK because it fit the scene and the movie is set (roughly) during that time period. Others, like "Twist & Shout" in FBDO, are memorable points in specific movies, but draw attention to the song outside the framework of the plot (that is, numerous songs could have been used in that context, the song's inclusion is more than aural backdrop to the scene, and seems to use the music to heighten the movie's appeal, rather than the other way around).
OK, I'll stop now. -

Horrible list. Absolutely horrible.

Re: Spinner's magazine's 77 most unforgettable movie songs
As someone commented on the page, the list is missing "I'm Alright" from Caddyshack. I thought "Bittersweet Symphony" from Cruel Intentions and "Wild Thing" from Major League could have been included in the list.
Chuck Lidell: I paint my toenails with pink and black polish. Problem is, I get more paint on my toes and on the carpet than on my nails. Any advice? Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this. -

How about "The Wall" by Pink Floyd. I can't see the list but that was a Movie. haha.
Nobody but HB knows for sure. You pretty much know nothing....like Knownothing would like to say.
