Its gonna be epic. The book is dark as hell.

Re: New "Harry Potter" trailer...
So the trailer isn't in 3D, but you can tell its going to be one of those films where its going to be kind of annoying if you watch it normally because of the different angles and close/far scenes where you have something up close in your face with something in the distance. I don't know just a pet peeve.

Re: New "Harry Potter" trailer...
Funny, just watching the sixth one on our new tv. I've been a little disappointed with the movies, maybe I'm just getting older! It should be fun though. I haven't seen any 3d movies yet, not sure if this will be the first.

Re: New "Harry Potter" trailer...
I thought the sixth movie was by far the best movie, because they weren't trying to fit every detail that was in the book into the movie. The sixth movie seemed to flow so much better than the others.

Harry Potter suffers from too-many-cooks-in-the-kitchen syndrome, IMO. They've gone through four directors for eight films, so unfortunately there's a ton of differences between music, filming style, wardrobes, etc. throughout the films. Part of me wishes they would've just stuck with one guy so the films would make a more cohesive set once they're all said and done.
That being said, I like the darker direction they've slowly been going. They'll need a more grown-up feel too considering the elementary school kids who read the first books are now in their 20s.

Agree completely. I started reading the books when I was 11. I'm 22 now...weird to think I've been reading these books/watching the movies for over a decade. Can't wait for these last two films!

Re: New "Harry Potter" trailer...
I have enjoyed them all, but the last 3 films have been the best. Less childish. The scenes in the new one here look visually stunning and haunting. I just hate that its in two film but understand why. Im just impatient!

These next 2 movies should really be for adults. I wont be surprised if they get a higher rating. A lot of bad **** happens in that book.
It looks like the acting has improved too.

HP is so overrated. They're ok movies but that's it.

Re: New "Harry Potter" trailer...
Watching the trailer of the Half Blood Prince, I was more excited for that than any movie before it. Complete let down in my opinion from someone who has read the books.
These trailers do make me excited again to see the movies, and actually am relieved the broke it up into two parts. There is too much to rush through in just one movie like they did the last one.

Making this many movies in an amount of time in actor maturity rates, I say they did pretty well. Have to butcher some but overall still get the story and major moments out there.
