Selling DVD's?
Since Hasting's is now closed, does anyone know of a place in Ames or Des Moines that will buy used DVDs? I bought far too many DVDs in college and am looking to sell them to a store in bulk, rather than individually on craiglist. Thanks!

Re: Selling DVD's?
I'm sure you could sell them in bulk on Craigslist or eBay. Or, if you don't mind driving to Marshalltown, there's a place on Main St. that buys just about any type of media (CDs, DVDs, games, records, etc...). I think it's called Odds-n-Ends or something like that.

What about movie stores in Des Moines, do any of them? I've looked all over the internet for Des Moines area, but can't find a thing.

Could you type them out on CF with the price and board members can PM you if they want one or more?

I know I'd make more individually on craiglist, but for what I'll get for most of them, it won't be worth my time to drive to Des Moines to sell a single DVD for a few bucks or whatever I'd get for them. I'd just rather sell them in bulk and get it done with.
I am gonna sell some TV series and movie series on craigslist. However, Monster is not going to see a craiglist posting. -

CD Warehouse in Des Moines buys them, or at least they used to. You'll get $0.50-$2.00 for most they want.

Re: Selling DVD's?
goto Jay's CD & Hobby on SE 14th st in Des Moines. He's a good friend of mine and is a local business not tied to a chain. Plus he sells all types of hobby stuff such as games, comics, board games, etc. Even has some used gaming consoles. Tell him cyclone fan Brett sent ya.

Re: Selling DVD's?
I used to mine online on Amazon. Works pretty well...of course it's different than in person because you have to ship the stuff out and buy padded envelopes. Amazon is nice though because they tack on $2.49 to the buyer's total so you can use that towards shipping. Only downside is you can't cashout to your bank account whenever you want I don't think. It's been over a year since I last sold a DVD on Amazon though so maybe they changed it.
