    For the IR scanner to work properly I think you'd have to have flowing blood. If the vein is empty then I doubt it shows up the same.

    Maybe I'm a little behind the times but I just used an ATM that didn't require an envelope for the deposit. A copy of the check printed right on the ATM receipt. Pretty sweet.

    A lot of banks are moving toward scan and deposit. Apparently you scan a check at home or take a pic with your phone and it deposits it.
